GRADE 6 TO YEAR 7 TRANSITION DAY
Tuesday 13th December 2022 is the Statewide Transition Day.
This day enables grade 6 students, who have received a place at our college for 2023, to come and experience a day on-site.
It is an important day as it helps to ease the nerves of moving to a new school. Students meet some of their teachers, learn where things are, and have the opportunity to make new friends.
Those attending should follow any specific instructions provided from their Primary School.
In general, the details of the day are as follows:
- Meet at the front of the school (outside the gym) at 8.45am (there will be staff present to meet you).
- There will be a BBQ lunch provided for students (including halal and vegetarian options), but students can bring their own lunch if preferred (the canteen will be closed on this day).
- Students should be dressed in their full Primary School uniform.
- Students should bring a pen and paper/notebook.
Parents are welcome to attend in the morning for an introductory assembly.
If you are yet to purchase a lock for your child’s locker for 2023, you can also do this at the front office on this day (but please understand this will be a busy time, you may prefer to do this another day to avoid waiting).
We look forward to meeting all of our incoming students on this day.
